AskRue™ on Android

Use this checklist with a friend phone. Phone Camera and chat screenshots of the QR usually fail — use Enter key in TOTP Authenticator.

1 · Register

  1. On a computer (or phone browser): open ruezals.chat
  2. Tap Beta-Register → enter the invitation code Rue gives you
  3. Create account: pick a permanent username, password (8+), email, DOB (18+), accept rules
  4. After “Account created”, go back to Login — do not expect the dining hall yet

2 · First login (soft hinge)

  1. Login with username + password
  2. If AskRue asks for a code and you have not hooked an app yet: leave the code blank and press Enter — you can still get in while setup is pending
  3. Or: password → Show setup QR → in TOTP Authenticator choose Enter key → paste the manual key shown under the plate (Time based) → enter the 6-digit code to activate

3 · On this phone (three enroll paths)

  1. Scan desktop: open the gate on a computer → Show setup QR → scan with TOTP Authenticator
  2. Phone UI: open /mobile/enroll.html → username + password → scan the plate, or Download QR and use Scan from gallery / image, or Copy key
  3. Temporary email link: on enroll, tap Email me a temporary setup link → open the mail on your phone → password once → copy key / download QR (seed is never in the email body; link works once ~15 min)
Password reset from Gmail lands on /mobile/unlock.html (phone-friendly). Email-backup login codes (magic → 60s → 6-digit code) are a different path — not seed delivery.

4 · TOTP Authenticator (same app as Rue)

Prefer Download QR from phone enroll over a screenshot someone texted. If Scan QR fails, always use Enter key.
